The 4th Beauty Forum Bodypainting Trophy presented by Kryolan took place last weekend in Leipzig, Germany. The trade show for make up, nail and cosmetics was the location for the small competition organized by the WBA. The jury with Janny Cirpka, Mike Shane and Filippo Ioco awarded the following artists:

Funding Project By Gallery ML (USA)
At Gallery ML it is our mission to nurture, promote and celebrate the beautiful fine art side of bodypainting. Through our unique Artist Membership Program, bodypainters from around the world now have a physical destination and opportunity to submit their most original, imaginative representations of body art imagery to display in a respectable gallery setting. Rather than choosing to display cheap, over-sexualized images of body painting that degrade, demoralize and pervert the human figure, Gallery ML's walls are adorned with art that is incredibly inspirational, unobtrusive and celebratory of the human body as a canvas. Established in April of 2010 and only one of two galleries in the world that has completely dedicated their walls to displaying body painting, Gallery ML is certainly unlike any gallery you've seen before.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP: In less than two years, we have rapidly outgrown our current 1,500 sq/ft Market Street location. This past January, we found the perfect new home for Gallery ML. Boasting a whopping 7,000 sq/ft of usable commercial space, 111 Arch Street is conveniently located just a block away from our original gallery location and will not only house four times the amount of wall space but also a full photography studio and a giclee print lab.
A lot needs to be done in order to transform the space into a proper art gallery (for example: gallery track lighting, replacing the damaged ceiling, painting, removing the carpeting and replacing it with wood floors, a new water heater, a new heating/ac system) and we are so close to accomplishing everything in time for a our annual First Friday April season opener.

Review, Beauty Forum Switzerland
A very international group of participants was attending on the last weekend, March 3rd and 4th, the body and facepainting competition within the Beauty Forum in Zurich, Switzerland. Among the 10 10 limited participants were representitives of 7 nationalities. The winners in the 2 categories "Bodypainting" and "Face Effects" won for the first place 1.000 Swiss Franks, second 500 and third 300.
Both contests were supported by the sponsor "Kryolan Professional Make up".
A special thank to the judges Birgit Linke, Fredi Schmid and Herbie Betschart, as well as to the fantastic photo crew Georg Schmitt, Karsten Skrabal and Sebastian Felix.

Body and Facepainting Contest in Munich
From now on we can take registrations for the very popular body and facepainting contest in Munich within the Beauty Forum. The contests take place 27 and 28 October.
Again there are more than € 2.400 in cash to win.

Beauty Forum Switzerland
The Beauty Forum in Zurich, Switzerland takes place on the upcoming weekend. The body and facepainting competition within this beauty show is organized by the WBA and also under the WBA patronat.
